Terroir of Piedmont:
knowledge, traditions and territory
Typical of Piedmont, the Nebbiolo and Chardonnay wine characterise the Langhe and Monferrato territory, a UNESCO heritage site. From these places came the idea of designing an innovative winery, capable of incorporating the founding values of respect for nature by both men and women withe the knowledge handed down from generation to generation.
Cascina Forti is a traditional winery immersed in the Monferrato vineyards and its history is both recent and contemporary, starting with its logo.
The Terroir is a term that represents together the organoleptic characteristics of a soil, the health of the vine plant and the knowledge of the winegrower and agronomist. This term represent the care and awareness that lead a wine to express fully its aromas and taste tones reaching its capacity to "not allow one to distinguish, in wine, the essence and the genetics of the grape variety". Cascina Forti is a project that wants to restore value to the term Terroir by making it recognisable to the public for its importance in the wine production phases.
